North Maple Regional Park | Construction updates

The City of Vaughan continues to make progress on construction at North Maple Regional Park (11085 Keele St.). Here’s what you need to know:

  1. Construction is underway for a new entrance into the park, located on Keele Street, closer to Teston Road. Once construction of the existing south entrance is complete, work on the north entrance, located along Keele Street, closer to Kirby Road, will begin.
  2. Intersection improvements at Keele Street and at the park’s north entrance, including new traffic control signals and dedicated turn lanes are underway.
  3. A new right-in/right-out road connection at the south entrance of the park to Keele Street is being constructed.
  4. Development of a new multi-use pathwayisalso underway from Keele Street to the existing parking lot.

As of Friday August 9th, the north entrance of the park will be closed. Access to the park will only be permitted through the south entrance.

A map has been attached which outlines the updates to park entrances and access to the parking lot.

Please follow site signage for alternative route / access to the park.

This work is expected to be fully completed in Fall 2024.The park will remain accessible at all times, but the entrance will be diverted based on the construction activity.

To safely complete all construction activities, intermittent lane reductions along Keele Street will be required on weekdays from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Signage and barriers are in place to guide visitors.

Safety first! We ask that all park visitors exercise caution and respect on-site signage, barriers and other traffic control measures in place. For your safety, please stay out of these designated construction areas and stay clear of equipment and machinery.
