ALL ABILITIES PROGRAM

WHEN DOES REGISTRATION BEGIN?

Registration begins Tuesday May 28 th , 2024. Registration will be accepted on a first come, first serve basis
(spots are limited).

DO YOU ACCEPT CHILDREN OF ALL AGES?

We accept children between the ages of 5 and 18 (born between 2019 through to 2006).

IS SPACE UNLIMITED?

To provide a safe and fun-filled experience for our players, space is limited at this time. Players will be accepted
on a first come first serve basis – spots will not be saved. If spots are full when you register, we recommend that
you still register your child onto the waitlist. If spots become available, you will be contacted to confirm your
interest.

WHAT IS THE COST?

This program is sponsor funded and completely free of charge. If you are interested in sponsoring the program,

WHAT ARE THE DATES OF EACH SESSION?

The sessions will be held from 9am-10am on the following Sundays: June 23 & July 7, 14, 21, 28 & August 11,
2024.

WHERE WILL THEY BE PLAYING?

The field we will be using is the Mc Naughton turf field which is located on the northwest corner of Keele Street
and Mc Naughton Road (north of Major Mackenzie Dr).

HOW LONG IS EACH SESSION?

Each session runs from 9:00am to 10:00am (the field is being used by other groups following this program
therefore extra time will not be available). It is important to show up on time, as once the session begins if your
child is late, their Big Buddy may be assigned to someone else.

WHAT DO WE NEED TO PURCHASE?

Each child will receive a full uniform (jersey, shorts, & socks, uniforms will be distributed shortly before the start
of the season). You must purchase either outdoor or indoor turf shoes (running shoes work just as well) and shin
pads.

DOES A PARENT OR GUARDIAN HAVE TO BE PRESENT FOR EACH SESSION?

Yes, it is mandatory that 1 parent/guardian is present and does not leave during each session. 1 parent/guardian
will be required to participate in each session with their child, as we do not always have a volunteer to assign to
each child.

WILL THE SAME VOLUNTEER BE ASSIGNED TO MY CHILD FOR EACH SESSION?

We try our best to have the same volunteer “Big Buddy” assigned to a child every week, however if a volunteer is
absent for a session then we will try our best to assign a substitute volunteer to fill in. 1 parent/guardian will be
required to participate in each session with their child.
If your child is late to a session then his/her volunteer will likely be reassigned to another child, and your child will
most likely be placed with another volunteer or group, so please do your best to be on time.

WHAT HAPPENS IF IT IS RAINING?

If a session is cancelled due to inclement weather you will be notified that morning by 8:00am via email. For this
reason, it is imperative that you supply us with an email address that is active and easily accessible to you no
matter where you are.

WHAT HAPPENS IF MY CHILD CANNOT ATTEND A SESSION?

If your child will be absent from a session please send us an email informing us of his/her absence. Same day
emails are fine, it is better that we know so that, if necessary, we can reassign your child’s volunteer to another
player.

If you know your child is going to be absent from majority of sessions, we ask that you reconsider registering, as
there are a limited number of spots.
