U8 (Born 2014) Festival

Program Description:

Our Festival Grassroots program operates during the winter and summer seasons. Our Program is inclusive to all players. Players will receive 2 training sessions per week plus a festival or free play day as part of their program. Program last between 36-38 weeks a year between summer and winter season. Registration is paid prior to the start of the season. Entrance into this program is done through assessment sessions.

The U8 age group is the introduction stage to organized soccer and developing their interest and love for the game. But it is also known as the “egocentric” phase where players will have very much a “Me and the Ball” relationship. Player’s will learn fundamental skills to allow them to progress to the next stage. Objective at this stage is to make the child better coordinated and equip them with a good base of fundamentals with the ball. Technique will be developed through games and through analytical exercise which must be highly repetitive but fun for the player, so they enjoy and learn

Our Festival program overall objective is to create a developmental environment for every player that matches their individual playing needs and abilities.
