The Vaughan Soccer Club (VSC) is hosting its’ fifth annual Danny Pellegrini Classic Tournament, in honor of our past Club President, Danny Pellegrini. Danny began his involvement at the Grassroots Level in 1996. Since that time he advanced to coaching a competitive girls’ team and was elected onto the Vaughan Soccer Club Board as Tournament Director. He then assumed the position of VP of Competitive Girls and ended his tenure as the President of the Board. During his Presidency, Danny was instrumental in spear heading VSC towards receiving the OSA Club Excellence Award as well as obtaining the Ontario Player League License. His contribution and involvement helped pioneer the sport in our community. In 2013 Danny was diagnosed with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS, also known as Lou Gherig’s Disease), this diagnosis forced him to resign his post as President of the Vaughan Soccer Club and sadly in 2015, Danny lost his battle with ALS. In honor of Danny and all he has done for this club, a portion of the proceeds from this tournament will be donated to ALS Canada.

Date: May 8, 9 & 10 2020 Age Groups: U13 – U18 (born 2007 to 2002) Gender: Boys and Girls Application Deadline: April 20 (divisions may be closed prior to this date) Fee: $575.00 (referee fees included) Playing Format: 11 v 11 Guaranteed Games: 3 Fields: Senior fields within the Maple and surrounding area (grass or turf)

Registration Requirements Checklist (all below listed documents must be presented at time of registration)

• Official Club Issued Team Roster (hard copy only)
• Travel Permit (if necessary, hard copy only)
• Completed Tournament Roster Form (maximum of 18 players, including 3 guest players who are registered within your club)
• Player and Coaching staff Registration Book/ID Cards, including guest players (all books/ID Cards must be validated by your District Association)
• Payment in Full

If you are unable to attend the team registration, please contact Lui Amato to arrange an appointment for an alternative time. All registrations must be completed prior to the first game.
