The boys worked hard in order to prepare for this and all the parents and coaches were proud of there efforts and behavior. This was an experience the boys will never forget in there life.
In game one the boys beat a very good West Pasco 6-1. The offense was on fire and the boys were definitely clicking on all cylinders.
In game two the boys took on one of Florida's top Clubs in Florida Rush Nike 01/02 elite. This was definitely a great game for all to watch and ended in a 1-1 draw.
In game three which was a must win game, the Blues faced one of Miami's top Clubs in West Pines. A team that hadn't lost for 2 years. At the end of the first half the score was 0-0 thanks too some great saves and solid defense. The Blues stormed out in the second half and scored 2 quick goals and played a solid defense to close out the game and win 2 0 over a stunned West Pines.
With the win the Blues faced off vs Florida Rush Nike again in the finals. After a scoreless first half, rush stormed out to a 2-0 lead in the second. The Blues quickly got one back to make it 2-1. Then after having to stop a PK and defend several free kicks, the blues simply ran out of time... Finalist of the 2013 Walt Disney Presidents Day Cup! Not to bad!!!
The Blues also had a challenge match at the end of the tournament vs Clear water Florida Selects, which ended in a 5-1 win for the Blues.
